Lice Treatment - Washing clothing and bedding

Bed linen, pillow cases, towels and clothing should all be washed in water that is at least 50 degrees Celsius and dried in a hot dryer for at least 20 minutes.

Dry cleaning items or storing them in a plastic bag for two weeks is also effective.

Any lice seen on chairs, pillows or sheets are dead, sick or are the cast skins of lice. They are not infectious after being away from the body for a few hours.

Vacuuming is recommended.
