Vusolimogene oderparepvec-wtpg suspension for
intratumor injection
Trade Name: Tudriqev™
Company: Replimune
Approval Dates/Comments: In August 2026, the US FDA granted accelerated approval to this genetically modified herpes simplex virus type 1-based oncolytic immunotherapy for use with nivolumab (programmed death-1 [PD-1] blocking antibody) in adult patients with unresectable advanced cutaneous melanoma who experienced disease progression on a PD-1 inhibitor regimen. This decision is based on results from the IGNYTE trial, where the combination demonstrated a 24.2% objective response rate and a median response duration of 14.1 months in a high‑risk population, with mostly mild to moderate side effects. Vusolimogene oderparepvec-wtpg works by selectively replicating in tumors, promoting tumor lysis, releasing antigens, and stimulating immune activation—effects are enhanced when paired with nivolumab. A Phase 3 confirmatory trial (IGNYTE‑3) is underway. The combination therapy was well-tolerated. Intratumoral injections of vusolimogene oderparepvec-wtpg should be administered every 2 weeks for 8 consecutive doses. Nivolumab is given as an intravenous infusion starting at week 3, adhering to its own prescribing information.
Remibrutinib tablets
Trade Name: Rhapsido®
Company: Novartis
Approval Dates/Comments: Health Canada approved remibrutinib in July 2026 for the treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) in adult patients who remain symptomatic despite H1 antihistamine treatment. This decision is supported by the Phase 3 REMIX-1 and REMIX-2 double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled studies. Remibrutinib is an oral, highly selective Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor that blocks BTK-mediated mast cell and basophil degranulation, preventing the release of histamine and other proinflammatory mediators that trigger symptoms associated with CSU. The Phase 3 clinical trials REMIX-1 and REMIX-2 demonstrated that remibrutinib 25 mg twice daily was superior to placebo in reducing Urticaria Activity Score (UAS7) scores from baseline at week 12 in adult patients with CSU whose disease remained symptomatic despite H1 antihistamine therapy.
TrenibotulinumtoxinE IM injection
Trade Name: Boey®
Company: Allergan Aesthetics/AbbVie
Approval Dates/Comments: In June 2026, Health Canada approved trenibotulinumtoxinE for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adult patients. TrenibotulinumtoxinE is the first and only rapid-onset and short-duration botulinum neurotoxin serotype E approved for the temporary improvement in the appearance of glabellar lines. Regulatory approval is based on data from two Phase 3 randomized, multi-centre, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials evaluating the efficacy and safety of trenibotulinumtoxinE in adults with moderate to severe glabellar lines (M21-500 and M21-508) associated with corrugator and/ or procerus muscle activity. The studies enrolled 947 patients treated with trenibotulinumtoxinE 700 U total dose or placebo. The onset of effect for trenibotulinumtoxinE-treated patients was seen as early as 8 hours post injection in both studies. Glabellar lines returned to baseline severity in approximately 2-3 weeks after administration.
